Beaver County officials are trying to determine who drilled a peephole in a courthouse bathroom.
“Obviously, it’s a gross violation of people’s privacy. There’s no question about that,” Beaver County District Attorney Anthony Berosh said Thursday.
Sheriff George David said someone spotted the peephole in a ground-floor unisex bathroom Friday evening. Berosh said “courthouse personnel” found it. Detectives and deputies are investigating.
David said someone apparently drilled the hole, about a half- inch in diameter, through drywall in the corner of a heating duct in the bathroom, which contains a single toilet and sink.
The other side of the hole opens into a small electrical equipment room next to the bathroom, near the county’s adult probation office.
David said the equipment room has “limited access,” mostly by county maintenance workers

Single family home sales through the 31st of October 2006 were down 23%
from the same period last year. Single family home sales in the month of October were down 38% from last October. (Recall that sales in September were off 53% from a year earlier, so this is an improvement.)

There are many things you should do before retirement. Of course you will need to work yourself hard for years and years, but in addition, you will need to get everything squared away first. When you retire, you likely will be getting some type of funds from your job. You may get a pension check or a 401K check. However, these payments are often much less than what you are accustomed to bringing home. In some cases they are so little that those who retire find themselves getting part time jobs just to pay for medical bills and prescriptions.
To avoid this from happening, you really need to get everything settled before retirement. This often requires thinking far ahead before retirement. For instance, you wouldn?t want to have an expensive mortgage payment still left to pay when you retire. So, plan ahead and make sure your home will be paid for when you come to retiring age. In addition, any other major payments you may a month should be diminished or gone when you retire.
